Launch of Call for Applications: October 17, 2025

Application Submission Deadline: October 31, 2025

Are you a woman or a young man physically and mentally fit to work at heights and under pressure in the solar photovoltaic energy sector who aspires to improve your skills in solar installation?

ROGEAP ASPIRE is designed for you!

Become a certified regional solar installer and be part of the new generation of clean energy professionals in West Africa and the Sahel.

About the Regional Off-Grid Electricity Access Project (ROGEAP)

ROGEAP is funded by the World Bank, the Clean Technology Fund (CTF), and the Directorate-General for International
Cooperation (DGIS) of the Government of the Netherlands.

It aims to increase access to sustainable electricity services in the 12 ECOWAS member countries and 7 other sub-Saharan
African countries (Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Mauritania, Central African Republic, Chad) by building a
regional market for off-grid solar products and supporting value chain actors.

WHAT IS ROGEAP ASPIRE

The ROGEAP ASPIRE program is part of ROGEAP’s activities aimed at supporting the development of a regional ecosystem for the sustainable growth of the stand-alone solar systems industry by creating business opportunities and jobs. This ecosystem includes manufacturing, assembly, distribution, installation and maintenance of off-grid solar energy

What ROGEAP ASPIRE Offers

  • Customized preparatory training for participants on the solar sector and solar installation;
  • Practical training for solar installers in ROGEAP / ECREEE certified training centers;
  • Subsidized regional certification exam as ROGEAP, through the PFM, will subsidize women at 100% of the certification cost, while selected young men will benefit from 70% coverage of the certification cost.

This is an unusual incentive to encourage your participation in solar photovoltaic installation and to overcome barriers to participation in the development of a regional ecosystem;

  • ROGEAP training is 100% free for all women and men who meet ECREEE’s selection criteria or who have been selected by ECREEE and who meet the ECREEE scholarship eligibility criteria;
  • Access to ROGEAP grant windows.
